Saturation

By admin

Color saturation describes how vivid, rich, or intense a color is. It refers to the color’s hue dominance. The ‘pure’ hues are located on the outer edge of the color wheel. As you move closer to the center of the color wheel, the hue we use to describe the color becomes less dominant. When you get to the center of the wheel, there is no dominant color. Desaturated or muted colors are those that are directly on the central axis.
