Margin

By admin

In web design (HTML and CSS), a margin is the space around an element’s border that clears the area outside the border, whereas padding is the space inside the border that surrounds the element’s content. In other words, the margin property controls the space outside an element, and the padding property controls the space inside an element.

In printing, margins are the blank space you leave between the image area and the final trim area. This space ensures that the content is not cut off or too close to the outer edges after the product is trimmed.

Margin in business refers to the difference between the price of a good or service and the amount of money required to produce it, or the profit-to-revenue ratio.

A profit margin is the percentage of sales that a company keeps after deducting all expenses.
